Checkout V2.1

The new version of the Balance checkout is designed to help you bolster your brand and drive checkout conversion, making it easier than ever for your customers to purchase online with you.

The key features of the updated Balance checkout are:

  • Simplicity - Each payment step is separated into a unique screen, clearly reflecting the timing and method of payment. This helps to minimize confusion and provides a more user-friendly and intuitive experience for your customers.

  • Flexibility - You can offer various payment methods for both financing and non-financed transactions, and choose the payment methods you would like to suggest to your customers.

  • Mobile support - The new checkout version is optimized for mobile devices, so your customers can now make purchases on the go with ease, using their smartphones or tablets.

  • Soft branding - The new checkout is brand agnostic, and the design elements are neutral.

It is easy to upgrade - Simply change the SDK URL, and you’re all set. If you need any support, our team is here to help.

More information on how to install the new version is in our documentation.

Unified Qualification Flow

This update will make it simpler for a wide range of buyers to qualify for Terms. We have streamlined the application process to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all potential buyers, from small businesses to large corporations.

The process is tailored to collect the necessary information to make informed decisions about your buyers’ purchasing needs.

Available now: This functionality is enabled when the qualification link is generated from the dashboard or via the API (POST /qualification/{buyerId}).

In the coming weeks: The functionality will be available via the Checkout and the API (POST /qualification/{buyerId}/preApproval).

Matching vendor payout to a transaction

This capability allows you to select the specific transaction(s) that you would like to payout, making it easier to reconcile your vendors’ payouts by linking each transaction with its corresponding payout.

Here’s how to access this capability through the dashboard.

  1. Navigate to a vendor’s page

  2. View the vendor’s transactions, including the amount, date and status

  3. Check the box to select which transaction(s) you would like to payout

  4. Indicate a note and statement descriptor via the payout confirmation page

  5. The payout for the selected transactions will be initiated to the vendor

This feature is available through our API as well, which allows you to initiate a payout per multiple transactions.
